What is a coconut? | Coconuts have been grown in tropical regions for more than 4,500 years but recently became known for their flavor and health benefits. It is used for its water, milk, oil, and slightly sweet white meat. They have MCTs, dietary fiber, protein, several important minerals, and some B vitamins. Mature coconuts are brown with hairy shells, while young coconuts are green or orange on the outside.
